Presenter:
Heather Edwards, Dementia Consultant, Care Inspectorate

This workshop will:
  • give delegates the opportunity to discuss what the purpose of a care plan is
  • discuss what is meant by 'person-centred', with a critique of a range of examples
  • delegates will write a care plan within the workshop and receive feedback from an inspector - what is looked for during an inspection.
The main learning outcomes will be:
  • recognising what makes a care plan person-centred and understand the key factors that the Care Inspectorate are looking for
  • understanding the concept and significance of personal outcomes and how these can be used to maintain identity, roles and relationships
  • exploring a variety of different ways of recording care plans.
